Chuckman is creating a field of interesting and innovative Evangelion fanfics, but this is perhaps his best so far. Unlike many Evangelion fics, it is not a Shinji-centric story, and it is better for it. The other characters are developed more fully and get a chance to really shine, with a little extra help from the fact that this is a Marvel crossover. Shinji still gets his share of screen time, but he must share it with Asuka, Mari, Hikari, Toji, Rei, Misato, Ritsuko, Gendo, and everyone else who has or hasn't stepped on stage yet.
Nine chapters in, I still can't quite tell where the story is going, only that I like it. The Marvel Universe is woven seamlessly into the Evangelion Universe, better even than was done with the DC Universe for LCOK. It isn't quite a fix-fic. There isn't any sudden overcoming of problems. Contrariwise, this being a blend of Marvel and Eva, the characters are still brimming with problems. The difference is that they now have a little bit more agency and ability to tackle those problems, but you can still bet that they'll be put through hell doing it.
I would go into who's who and what's what, beyond what is listed in the description, but that would ruin the fun of reading it. Go read it for yourself. Just be prepared to be surprised. Anything can happen in this story, and it already has a couple of times. Jaws will drop and minds will boggle. I will close by simply saying that this is a fic of the first rank. I can actually imagine this being a real thing, and that Stan Lee and Hideaki Anno collaborated to make it.
